The Heads Up Ride in conjunction with the SSM chapter
of the Ontario Brain Injury Association was CMC SSM 032's
first hosted event.

With over 50 riders taking part in this first time event,
it surely won't be the last.

Kranky and Twister, two of the CMC riders who rode
to raise awareness of acquired brain injury.

Before taking to the road, riders had an opportunity to speak
with SSM city and OPP motorcycle officers
one - on - one and in small groups.

Ontario Brain Injury Association Sault Ste. Marie chapter president,
Liz Eddy spoke to the group about acquired brain injuries
and the OBIA's provincial D.O.N.T. campaign.

Each rider received a D.O.N.T. - Drive Only Never Text t - shirt

Sault Ste. Marie city and OPP motorcycle officers escorted riders

Riders take to the road to enjoy the blue sky, sunshine, camaraderie
and raise awareness in Sault Ste. Marie of acquired brain injury
and the risks associated with texting and cellphone use while driving.

Riders rode some of the city's rural roads as well as downtown streets.
